Being able to see out to the garden whilst I work is one of the joys of having a large patio door and windows very near my work station.  Having commuted to various offices for many years, where the outside world was often just a glimmer whilst passing a window, I used to go out walking around the area in my break periods.  The need to get out ad breathe the air, whether warm, cold, dry or not, was vital to my well being and ability to work for another stint in the afternoon!  I could have been quite a good gardener if I’d thought about that as a profession.  I do have very green fingers and cannot bear to throw away prunings – I’m forever sticking bits of twig and plant in pots and invariably they grow shoots. Eventually.  Unfortunately I’m not so hot on remembering to label them and there’s very often an exciting time waiting to discover what they are!
