When those first thoughts of a business start planting themselves in the brain, the initial ideas flood in and a few trial goes at the design / dish / product come to fruition, no thoughts are given when the business is going to take off and whether there is actually space in the house to accommodate it.
A relative makes absolutely gorgeous home sewing products – messenger bags, school holdalls, sports bags, knitting bags, peg bags and all else around the theme. This started as a little dining room hobby between feeding baby and trying to stop the rot from setting into her very fertile brain. As each year the number of orders grew, panic set in whenever the room was needed for dining. So production was moved to the garden shed for a couple of years. Now though, luxury has been achieved with a properly heated and powered garden office offering space to move and without needing work to be put away for dinner.
